Traditional Cypriot cooking in the heart of Limassol

Cooked the way grandma did. Every single day.

Charcoal-grilled meze, wine from the barrel and a courtyard under the vine. Since 1987.

Charcoal grill

Souvla over charcoal, vine leaves rolled by hand, bread kneaded every morning.

Our own garden

Our vegetables come from our own garden in Kellaki and our wine from small producers in the Limassol mountains.

A courtyard under the vine

We don't rush, not in the kitchen and not at the table.

Our story

T' Ambelin opened in 1987 in an old stone house in Limassol's historic centre, with five tables and a fireplace. The tables grew to twenty-five, but the kitchen never changed: souvla over charcoal, vine leaves rolled by hand, bread kneaded every morning.

“We came for one dinner and ended up booking again for our last night. The souvla alone is worth the trip.”
James T. · Manchester
“A proper family tavern: the courtyard, the barrel wine, the meze that never stops coming. We didn't want to leave.”
